Royal botanic garden

The royal botanic garden is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful setting anyone will ever see anywhere, with garden filling an area of land between the harbour and the eastern part of the central business district. It's the oldest scientific institution in Australia and is considered one of the most prominent historical botanical institutions in the world.
It's just a short stroll around the edge of the water from sydney opera house. Anyone can reach there by taking a train to circular quay and walk there from the Sydney opera house. Alternatively, Sydney explorer buses also stop there. Access to the garden is free and it's open everyday. The garden has large trees with a wonderful shade canvas and it makes it the best imaginable stop to sit and have lunch in the grass and taking the harbour views.
The garden has more than one million specimens and is a home to outstanding collection of plants from Australia and overseas. The botanic garden is surrounded by unfenced botanical parkland known as domain. It's green spaces, playing fields and harbour views play a central role in Sydney's biggest festivals, celebrations and events.
It is basically an excellent place to escape from the noise of the city and is best for recreational, sporting life and physical fitness of the city workers and the residents.
